SBIRT in Schools: Community share & coaching sessions

Description:

Feeling stuck with your SBIRT in Schools process? Join us for an interactive coaching session to navigate common challenges implementing SBIRT in your schools.

These are topic-specific sessions which will utilize case examples for discussion of best practices and application of Motivational Interviewing skills to help you have more collaborative conversations focused on substance use. Bring your questions, insights, and experiences to share with the group!

This will be an interactive coaching session, with time to practice skills, and explore challenging encounters through case discussion.

Training objectives:

After this coaching session, you will be able to:

  • Explore approaches to challenging cases
  • Critically examine the impact of various approaches
  • Identify peers or resources for navigating challenges

Intended audience:

School health and wellness providers who are part of SBIRT in Schools implementation. Prior participation in the Intro to SBIRT in Schools training is required.
